Cubbon Park with Kavya was a rich productive, learning experience. She made us look at the park in a new light, even for old Bangaloreans. She got us to look closer, pick fonts, observe slugs and understand the ecosystem. We engaged in conversations about larger issues in the conservation space which helped us connect the little observations with the big picture. For instance, the role of bees in the ecosystem; the repercussions of clearing bee hives. All of this sensitized students to problems beyond their immediate surroundings. Kavya has been very patient and handheld the students through the big and small issues and helped them engage with the space. She also provided a wealth of resources to pursue the subject further. It was beyond just learning names of trees and how to identify them. It was a lot of storytelling, fun and laughter which allowed one to be fully immersed and connect to the place and most likely fall in love trees

A Green Venture by Kavya is an amazing platform for children to become one with nature and all its living beings. My daughter loves the walks Kavya conducts, exploring and talking about flora and fauna in the parks and foraging through all her walks. Catch this nature enthusiast on the weekends in the prime parks of Bangalore city’

It was lovely how you engaged the kids, they really went back home with some learning. Every parent messaged me saying they loved the entire thing and the walk was amazing

Yes. It was the best way to spend a Saturday morning. The knowledge that was shared was truly useful and has piqued my interest in the local flora. I will most certainly walk around trees with a new found appreciation.
